To our Issaquah Middle School community:

Last year we learned much about the power of community in ISD. Your IMPTSA reinvented activities, mastered general meetings via Zoom, provided support to families through community outreach programs, advocated at the state and national levels to bring YOUR voice to important leadership decisions, supported staff, provided funding for school and community programs for education and mental health, and so much more.

This year, the Washington State PTA's motto is, "Be the change." Your IMPTSA Board met this summer to discuss our vision and goals for this year with that motto in mind. I am humbled by the caliber of individuals on the Board. Each person brings insight, collaboration, talent, and hearts willing and ready to serve the IMS community in new and creative ways, every day. Truly, this group is special and committed to making the 2021-22 school year, the best year ever for IMS.

As we face new challenges this year from a global pandemic to new boundaries in ISD forcing us to say goodbye to some of our Panther family, we welcome with open arms all of our incoming and returning Panthers, and can't wait to tackle this school year with all of you! While we cannot yet welcome back all volunteers physically into the building, there is still much work to be done to support staff and students. We need YOU, our community, to help us continue in our mission of advocating for every student at IMS.

Please SIGN UP and join us at our first membership meeting on September 15, 2021 via Zoom @ 6pm to see what we're about. All in attendance will receive a FREE Salmon Days parking pass and be entered in a drawing to win other great prizes! And, don't forget to place your order for IMS logowear to show off your Panther Pride all year long!

Welcome Back Panthers! This will truly be a year to remember!

Sincerely,
Cortney E. Eldridge
