Way to go! Your time and dedication are greatly appreciated!

CALLING VOLUNTEERS FOR BINDER BOOTCAMP – 10/21

Our first Binder Bootcamp of the year is just around the corner on Monday, Oct. 21, and we need your help to bring a little order to our corner of the universe.  Binder Bootcamp is an ongoing initiative organized by IMPTSA and supported by Issaquah Schools Foundation to help students who are struggling with organization which can lead to missed homework, misplaced completed homework, and general angst!

Our volunteers work one-on-one with students who are referred by teachers, counselors, and parents. If you can recognize a tidy, organized binder and can offer common-sense suggestions for keeping homework together, then you have all the skills required to work with students. We provide a brief training and all the supplies needed to help students organize their binders.

The number of students we are able to help depends upon the number of volunteers.  Please consider helping with this gratifying (and fun) activity and feel free to sign up for multiple shifts if you are able to give an entire morning. Even a couple of hours is greatly appreciated.  Click HERE to sign up today!

If you have any questions, email us at BinderBootcamp@IssaquahMiddlePTSA.Org

CALL FOR ENTRIES:  REFLECTIONS ART PROGRAM – DUE 11/1

Let your imagination fly and unleash your inner artist! Choreograph a dance, produce a film, write a poem or story, compose a song, take a picture or create a piece of visual art and tell us what this year's Reflections theme (“Look Within”) means to you. Get more information and an entry form here today and return the form and your artwork by November 1, 2019. Questions? Email Liz St. Andre at reflections@issaquahmiddleptsa.org.

VISION AND HEARING SCREENING – 10/28

Volunteers are needed to help with Vision and Hearing Screening on Monday, October 28th.  Volunteers will need to arrive at 7:30 am for ease of parking and stay until 11:00 am to help take down equipment.  Your help is much appreciated, and it’s a fun way to get involved at school.  Refreshments will be provided.  Click HERE to sign up to help.

All volunteers must have cleared the District’s background check and received approval by 10/28 (click here to start the process or check your status).  Please contact Sharon Heuchert (martyandsharon@hotmail.com), Jaimi Messmer (jaimilt@gmail.com) or Morgan Noble (jnoble1377@aol.com) if you have any questions about signing up.

VOLUNTEERING AT IMS

We would love to have you consider volunteering at IMS.  All volunteers must complete the District’s online registration and be approved before they can volunteer at school.  If you were approved to volunteer last year, you still need to sign in to the District’s online system, complete the training, and update the required information.  Please remember there is a delay between completing the volunteer application and getting approval, so don’t wait till the last minute to start the process.  Click here to sign in.
