Who We Are

Issaquah Middle PTSA is a private, non-profit organization with members dedicated to the service of the students, parents and staff of Issaquah Middle School and we advocate for the health, education, safety and welfare of all children. We are affiliated with the Washington State PTA and National PTA. Membership in our PTSA supports many programs and events and benefits the IMS community.

We are a 501(c)(3) charitable organization and your donations to PTSA are tax-deductible. Our Federal Tax Id can be provided upon request.

Standing Rules

In addition to being governed by the Washington State PTA Uniform Bylaws, we have Standing Rules which define specific conditions that govern our PTSA. These rules are not allowed to be in conflict with the Washington State PTA Bylaws.

Mission Statement

Create a welcoming, inclusive, and vibrant academic community by: providing resources to enhance the learning experience; strengthening community relationships; encouraging family involvement; and supporting students, families, and staff at IMS through our programs and activities.

Goals for 2022-2023

The Issaquah Middle PTSA will:

  • Keep families connected and involved in an ever-changing environment through PTSA communication tools and general membership meetings throughout the school year.
  • Provide 100% free membership for all IMS staff.  Add the funding in the 2022-2023 school year budget to continue free membership for all IMS staff.
  • Increase PTSA membership from 2021-2022 membership.
  • Advocate for the IMS community by providing a platform to share information on district, county, and state level decisions by providing monthly updates at General Membership meetings.
  • Act as stewards for the continued welfare and viability of the PTSA both educationally, legally, and financially through membership, fundraising, good fiscal management, and transparency.
